Manual eCBSV Verification
How to manually verify with eCBSV through the dashboard

Prerequisites:

Before starting, ensure the following:

  • eCBSV is enabled on your account: If you are unsure, contact your Partner Success Manager or email [email protected].
  • Your user has the eCBSV role assigned: If you do not see the “Verify with eCBSV” option (Step 3 below), reach out to your organization’s admin, your Partner Success Manager, or support to request access.


Process:

1. Navigate to the application you want to verify via the Case Finder or the Risk Ops tab.

2. With the application open, click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Click “Verify with eCBSV. If this option is not visible, your user likely does not have the required role. Refer to the prerequisites above.

4. The following window will pop-up. Click the blue “eCBSV” button to continue.

5. A new pop-up will display a link and password. Send both to the consumer so they can provide consent for eCBSV verification.

6. The consumer will open the provided link and enter the password you provided:

7. After entering the password and clicking "Submit," the consumer is taken to a page where they enter their PII and provide consent for eCBSV verification. Once submitted, they'll see a "Thank You" confirmation page.


Note: The consumer does not see the eCBSV verification results.


Viewing Results:

  • Once the consumer provides their consent, navigate to the “Verifications” tab in the dashboard.
  • Locate the relevant application and review the “Status”, “SSA Verified”, and “SSA Death Indicator” columns.
