Manual Scoring Overview

 

The SentiLink Dashboard offers an easy-to-use manual scoring feature. This capability lets users manually input specific application data to generate Synthetic Fraud and ID Theft Scores for individual applications. This guide provides a detailed step-by-step process for manual scoring, tips to ensure accurate results, and answers to common questions.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Accessing the Manual Scoring Tool
    • Log in to the SentiLink Dashboard.
    • Navigate to the Score tab using the left sidebar menu.
  2. Filling in the Required Information
    • Input as many fields as possible to ensure comprehensive scoring. The following fields are available:
      • Name (Required)
      • Date of Birth (Required)
      • SSN (Required for Synthetic Fraud Scores)
      • Phone Number (Required for ID Theft Scores)
      • Address (Required)
      • Email Address (Optional)
      • IP Address (Optional)
    • Including optional fields can significantly increase scoring accuracy.
    • Metadata is system-generated but can be manually modified if needed:
      • Application ID: Unique identifier associated with the application from your system. Randomly generated unless specified.
      • User ID: Unique identifier associated with the user from your system. Randomly generated unless specified.
      • Application Created: Date when the application was submitted within your system. Defaults to today's date unless specified.
      • User Created: Date when the user was created within your system. Defaults to today's date unless specified.
  3. Submitting for Scoring
    • Review all inputted data for accuracy.
    • Submit the application for scoring by clicking the “Create Application” button.
    • The results will appear in the section below.
  4. Reviewing Results
    • Locate the scored application in the results section.
    • Click on the expand button of the application to view detailed application information and scoring insights.
    • Click on the application name to view the full application details on the RiskOps page.

Best Practices

  • Input complete and accurate data: Include all optional fields whenever possible to enhance scoring precision.
  • Use filters for efficiency: Apply the "Submitted Today" filter to quickly locate the most recently scored applications.
  • Match application IDs: If your organization uses specific Application IDs or User IDs, ensure these are correctly modified to align with your system for easy future reference.
  • Validate application dates: Confirm that the application creation date is accurate for optimal scoring results.

FAQs

Q: What do I do if not all the manual scoring fields are available?

A: You can only generate scores if all mandatory fields are provided. For Synthetic Fraud Scores, an SSN is required. For ID Theft Scores, a phone number is required.

 

Q: Does manual scoring create records in the application cluster?

A: Manual scoring stores application information in the SentiLink application cluster.

 

Q: Can I rescore an application or test alternative PII for an applicant?

A: Yes, on the RiskOps page, you can rescore an existing application and test alternative application PII. Refer to our Rescoring Guide for detailed instructions.

 

Q: Can I delete an application after manually scoring it?

A: No, currently an application cannot be deleted directly in the Dashboard.
